Scotland’s leading franchise event, The British Franchise Exhibition, incorporating the Growing Your Own Business Showcase & Conference, will take place at the SECC in Glasgow on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 June 2008.

Sponsored by The British Franchise Association (bfa), The Daily Mail, Business Franchise and Franchise World, the event is the perfect place for aspiring entrepreneurs to find out everything they need to know about franchising.

Franchising is growing rapidly worldwide as a successful way to develop a new venture, offering a ready-made and proven business idea. It is now a major industry, with franchise businesses in the UK turning over more than £11bn a year. Franchising offers a solution to many of the uncertainties often faced by those wanting to set up a new business, providing entry into a market with an established brand and a proven, business formula to follow. With 92% of franchisees reported to be profitable, franchising is one of the safest ways to start a business.

Top Scottish based franchises will be in attendance at the Glasgow exhibition, providing a superb opportunity to find out about a particular business face-to-face with the owner. Exhibitors will include Cartridge World, Revive! Auto Innovations, Cash Generator, Ink Refills, Myhome, Premaman, Snap-on-Tools, Cash Generators, National Schoolwear Centres, The Streat Franchising and Travail Employment Group.

In addition, there will be experts from the bfa, as well as banks, accountants and solicitors who will be on hand to discuss every key issue from raising finance through to legal contracts.

Offering invaluable advice and featuring successful franchising case studies, these seminars, presented by leading speakers from the UK franchise industry are the perfect starting point for anyone wanting to find out more about becoming a franchisee or franchisor.

The Growing Your Own Business Showcase & Conference

The exhibition also incorporates the Growing Your Own Business Showcase, featuring companies that offer small business advice and can help established businesses to develop and grow. The showcase will be supported by a free conference with seminars providing practical advice and information on all aspects of growing a business.
